# Get started with DekaSign

> Set up your workspace and complete your first request.

## Before you start

Prepare your work email, organization name, and category/approver policies. Use synthetic data while learning. Do not share accounts.

  <Step title="Sign in or accept an invitation">
    Open [DekaSign](https://dekasign.com/login). Use the invited email address. To create an organization, follow the onboarding available to your account. If the organization is missing, ask the Owner to check your invitation and membership status.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete organization settings">
    The Owner opens **Settings** and checks the organization profile, email domain, logo, and theme. Confirm the workspace subdomain before entering data.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign roles and categories">
    Add members with the appropriate roles. Create categories through **Request Forms / Add category** or the settings available to Owners/Admins. Explicitly grant form access and category approval authority.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set up email">
    Email is the baseline channel. Use DekaSign email or configure your SMTP/API channel, test it, then activate it. Add WhatsApp only as an add-on when the provider is ready.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Design and test">
    Save a form, select a category, design a serial workflow, and assign approvers, Rules, and output routes. Run **Validate** and **Sandbox** before **Publish**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit and complete">
    The requester selects an authorized category/form card, fills in data and attachments, reviews, and submits. Approvers act on their assigned tasks. For revisions, the requester corrects and resubmits the same request.
