The Owner manages keys in Settings → Workspace API keys or the integration app. Select an active mapped requester, minimum scopes, category/template allowlists, and the shortest appropriate expiry. Store keys in a server secret manager, not frontend code, URLs, Git, screenshots, or logs.
Sandbox keys start with dks_test_. The server checks key/app/requester status, expiry, organization, tenant host, category authority, allowlists, scopes, and rate limits. Keys do not bypass the requester’s permissions.

Idempotency

Submit, revision, resubmit, upload, archive, and delete commands require an Idempotency-Key containing 8–160 printable ASCII characters. Use a new key for each intended operation and store it with the payload before sending.
Retry with the identical key and payload. Reusing a key with different data causes a conflict. After a timeout, check the first outcome before generating another key. Preview, hosted sessions, and OTP flows have separate contracts. API keys cannot give consent, bypass OTP, or sign as a recipient.
